If you must use canned, opt of the \u201cno salt added\u201d variety. Fresh foods have fewer if any preservatives.<\/p>\n<p>* Drink water \u2013 Drinking water is like giving your body an internal shower. It is needed by all of the cells and can dilute the sodium in your diet.<\/p>\n<p>* Eat whole grains \u2013 Fiber helps to lower\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/CholestoRite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">cholesterol levels<\/a>. These carbohydrates take longer to digest, stabilizing your blood sugar throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>* Exercise \u2013 Daily activity lowers your blood pressure and increases blood flow to the brain.
