Not sure about your skin type?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Normal Skin<\/strong><br \/>\nYou have normal skin if your skin\u2026<\/p>\n<p>* Appears soft clear and supple<br \/>\n* Has uniform texture and pigment<br \/>\n* Has few or no blemishes, no oily sheen or dry spots.<br \/>\n* Is not overly sensitive to the sun<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nDry Skin<\/strong><br \/>\nYou have dry skin if\u2026<\/p>\n<p>* Your T-zone and cheeks are dry.<br \/>\n* Your skin appears taunt, fragile, dull occasional flaking especially on the cheeks.<br \/>\n* Your pores are fine.<br \/>\n* Lines appear early around the eyes mouth and forehead.<br \/>\n* Blemishes are rarely a problem<br \/>\n* Extremely sensitive to sun and cold.<br \/>\nNote: this skin type can occur at any age but is seen mostly in wonen over 30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oily Skin<\/strong><br \/>\nYou have oily skin if\u2026<\/p>\n<p>* Has an oily sheen especially in the T-zone<br \/>\n* Has enlarged pores especially in the nose, chin and cheek area<br \/>\n* Feels soft and supple<br \/>\n* Has an\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/ClearSkinGel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">acne<\/a>\u00a0blemish<br \/>\n* Is a combination of oily and dry<br \/>\n* Tans easily but seldom\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/PureHeal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">burns<\/a><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nProblem\/Combination Skin<\/strong><br \/>\nProblem skin occurs in all the skin types mentioned above. Zap blemishes: Tea\u2019s tannic acid absorbs oils that lead to blemishes. Saturate a tea bag in warm water and press on the affected area for about 5 minutes. Rinse, then dab on a some eye redness remover to get the red out.<\/p>\n<p>2. Facial steam: Combine 1 cup fresh rose petals with 2 cups boiling water. Tent a towel over your head and let steam penetrate face for 10 minutes. Stay several inches away from the bowl.<\/p>\n<p>3. Homemade exfoliator : Mix 1\/8 cup of\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/MountainRoseHerbs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">olive oil<\/a>\u00a0and 1 heaping tablespoon of\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/SeaSalt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sea salt<\/a>. Use on knees and elbows in the shower and rinse off. Pat dry with a soft towel.<\/p>\n<p>4. Homemade\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/StarWestBotanicals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">clay<\/a>\u00a0mask : Use 100%\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/StarWestBotanicals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">clay<\/a>\u00a0kitty litter (ground to a powder), mix with water, apply to face, let dry, then rinse. Eye mask\u2013Grate 1\/4 of a apple and a small raw potato and combine. Apply mixture to eyes for 15 minutes, cover your eyes with a warm washcloth and relax with some soothing music.<\/p>\n<p>5. Homemade toner : In a blender, blend 1 peeled kiwi and 1 and 1\/2 teaspoons\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/StarWestBotanicals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">lime<\/a>\u00a0juice. Add an equal amount of water and blend until smooth. Use a cotton ball to apply to face. Refrigerate any leftover toner in an airtight container.<\/p>\n<p>6. Seal your pores : Close your pores with a skin tightening all natural\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/StarWestBotanicals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">clay<\/a>\u00a0or mud mask, or try this recipe: Mix 1 egg white with a few drops of lemon juice. Using a brush, massage onto clean skin. Leave on for 5 minutes then rinse with warm water.<\/p>\n<p>7. Chapped lips : Exfoliate your lips by using an old toothbrush and a\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/StarWestBotanicals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">menthol<\/a>\u00a0based lip balm. Apply lip balm first, then brush gently with the toothbrush.<\/p>\n<p>8. Moisturize your room : To keep skin from drying use humidifiers and keep the room temperature moderate. Also, get some green plants; they add moisture to your room!<\/p>\n<p>9. Protect your skin : Photo-aging is responsible for as much as 80% of skin damage\u2013wrinkling, sagging, and discoloration or\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/QualityWomensSkincare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">age spots<\/a>. Use a safe sunscreen and apply it before exposing your skin to the elements.<\/p>\n<p>10. Skin cream : Applying a skin cream 2-3 times per day helps to protect clean skin from daily assault.
