Padma Basic is simply a mixture of various herbs, fruits and even lettuce leaves. All the ingredients are \u2018lumped\u2019 together under a \u2018proprietary formula\u2019 which is a convenient way of avoiding consumers seeing what proportions of the \u2018cheap or expensive\u2019 ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>There is no indication of what the active ingredients are in the herbs etc, whether they are simply dried and put in the capsules, or, whether they are extracts.<\/p>\n<p>For example, what part of the Iceland Moss are they using and how much? We use Huperzine A in some of our products which is derived from moss, but it can only be used in very small amounts as it can, like many herbs go from being beneficial in the correct doses to toxic in high doses.<\/p>\n<p>I am very sceptical of companies that hide behind a \u2018proprietary\u2019 formula particularly if that formula is ALL proprietary. I am even more sceptical when a company charges so much for so little. Over $30 for 60 tablets with only 24,120mgs of ingredients per bottle! In contrast we have around 112,000mgs of active ingredients in a bottle of\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/CardioKlenz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cardio-Klenz<\/a>, and they are all listed, and they are enteric coated.<\/p>\n<p>I did not see anything listed in their ingredients that would give me comfort if I had a heart condition, and\/or wanted to give my arteries a spring clean. On the other hand\u00a0<a href=\"\/recommends\/CardioKlenz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cardio-Klenz<\/a>\u00a0is full of them.
